TMP-26926 2  Discussion ItemHERITAGE PARK MASTER PLAN ACCESSIBILITY CONSULTATION W. Loevenmark, Landscape Architectural Planner introduced the consultants Michael Barker and Christian Stewart of Shift Landscape Architecture and City staff who have been tasked with developing a new Master Plan for Heritage Park, one of Barrie’s key waterfront destinations. She advised that City staff and the consulting team are meeting internal stakeholders such as this Committee to solicit comments and feedback for the new Master Plan. M. Barker, Shift Landscape Architecture provided a brief overview of development phase of the plan. He advised that the intent of the Master Plan is that it is to be used as a guiding tool in the future development of the park. Dillon, Disability Management and Accessibility Specialist provided an update concerning the 2021 National AccessAbility Week which takes place annually this year from May 31, 2021 to June 4, 2021. She discussed the significance of National AccessAbility Week and provided an overview of the Committee’s past years events. C. Dillon advised that 2021 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Accessibility Advisory Committee and in recognition of this significant milestone she has been working with staff in the Legislative and Court Services Department to try to include past members of the Committee as part of a related event.
