The Committee met and discussed goals for the Heritage Barrie Committee for 2016. The Committee developed the following objectives to promote Barrie heritage:
· Participate in events organized by the Culture Department such as Celebrate Barrie and Culture Days;
· Promote Ontario Heritage Week;
· Coordinate the 2016 Heritage Barrie Awards program; and
· Organize a Barrie heritage stakeholders meeting.

· Residential: Ms. Kathy Michael at 144 Maple Avenue;
· Commercial: Robur Holdings Inc. at 90 Mulcaster Street;
· Institutional: St. George’s Anglican Church at 24 Burton Avenue/90 Granville Street; and

| 1 | | | Correspondence | CORRESPONDENCE FROM NATIONAL TRUST FOR CANADA REQUESTING A DONATION TO THE LAUNCH PAD INITIATIVE
C. Tribble, Chair reviewed a request from National Trust for Canada seeking support from the Heritage Barrie Committee to assist with the cost of planning and executing the national Launch Pad initiative. Mr. Tribble explained that the Launch Pad initiative assists communities to save community assets of historical importance.
D. McAlpine, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services provided background information regarding the City of Barrie’s 2016 Business Plan.
