Mayor Lehman announced the six recipients of the Governor General of Canada Sovereign’s Medals for Volunteers were are Robert George, John McEachern, William (Bill) Beckett Jeremy Bonnar, Fernand Taillefer and Anthony Beresford. Mayor Lehman commented that the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers recognizes the exceptional volunteer achievements of Canadians from across the country in a wide range of fields.
Mayor Lehman invited Robert George, John McEachern, William (Bill) Beckett, Jeremy Bonnar, Fernand Taillefer and Anthony Beresford each to the podium to receive their Governor General of Canada Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers. He provided highlights related to each recipient as follows:

They discussed slides concerning the following matters:
· The background associated with the 20,000 Homes Campaign;
· An outline of Simcoe County Registry Week and the steps associated with the collection of survey responses from people experiencing homelessness;
· An outline of the Vulnerability Index - Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (VI-SPDAT) used for the collection of data from the 292 completed surveys;
· The five factors utilized as part of the VI-SPDAT measurements of acuity related to homelessness;
· The survey results related to the high acuity, moderate acuity and low acuity of survey participants;
· The definitions of episodic and chronic homelessness and the survey results related to their measures;
· The key findings from the data collected from the 292 surveyed participants;
