TMP-32768 2  Presentation - AC/RCTRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN 2051 Brett Gratrix, Senior Project Manager Transportation, and the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) Team gave a presentation to the committee regarding the 2051 Transportation Master Plan Phase 1. Mr. Gratrix and the TMP team discussed slides concerning the following topics: · Overview and purpose of the proposed transportation plan; · Study components and major areas of focus; · The four main project phases and timelines; · Transportation challenges found so far during the first phase; and · The project schedule and public engagement event. The TMP Team asked the members questions regarding micro-mobility solutions, cycling and transit, off-road trails, specific areas in the road network that require attention, what currently works well with the City’s overall transportation network and what can be improved, as well as the future of mobility in Barrie. TMP-32776 2  Discussion ItemBIKE RENTAL WATERFRONT PROGRAM Chair, Councillor Kungl, discussed the Bike Rental Waterfront Program with the committee. She indicated that the program began on August 8th at Centennial Beach. The program is ran through Scoot Mobility and anyone can participate in the program. The program runs until the weather starts to get cooler and then starts again in the spring.   Action details Not available

TMP-32769 2  Discussion ItemUPDATES FROM WORKING GROUPS: a) Circular Economy The team lead discussed that the groups main focus right now is landfill diversion and bluebox conversion. The group met with some library staff regarding the Repair Café’s that have been happening throughout the city. b) Building, Energy, and Housing Currently there are no updates. The team will connect offline to select a team lead. c) Food Productions and Security The team lead was selected, however, there are no updates yet. d) Active and Non-Active Transportation The team lead discussed that the groups main focus right now is the new Zoning By-law and the public consultation that is happening September 17th -19th. e) Environment and Nature This working group has not had a chance to meet yet.
