Mona Boyd, Horticulture Foreperson provided an update on the 2024 Communities in Bloom Program, including judges’ visit between July 23, 2024, to July 25, 2024, itinerary and plans. She announced that the 2024 Communities in Bloom judges are Alain Cappelle of Nieuwpoort, Belgium and Dr. Andrea Bocsi of Dunaújváros, Fejér, Hungary.
Ms. Boyd noted that most of the arrangements have been finalized, including the events planned. She is still finalizing the routes throughout the community and the City’s profile book for the judges. She explained the various venues and opportunities for the Committee members to participate. Ms. Boyd advised that she would follow up with Committee members concerning the finalized judges itinerary and events.
Councillor, AM. Kungl indicated that she would ask the City’s Executive Management Team to invite their departments to participate in the Communities in Bloom events.

Mona Boyd, Horticulture Foreperson provided an update concerning participant registrations for the 2024 Communities in Bloom Program. Ms. Boyd indicated that registration closed on June 28, 2024. If Committee members have additional residents who have not registered and wish to participate to complete the hard copy registration form and send to herself. Ms. Boyd will provide staff in Legislative and Court Services Department with copies of registration forms for the Committee members. | Received | |
