Mr. Alex Mueller, Vice Principal of Helmholtz Gymnasium, spoke on behalf of the German delegation discussing the success and value of the exchange program and their experiences visiting the City of Barrie.
Mayor Nuttall highlighted the Program's success and thanked the members of the International Relations Committee, the Global Perspective Program organizers, and the families of the students for their participation in the program.

Mayor A. Nuttall acknowledged Honorary Colonel of CFSATE, Wayne Hay and the 2024 Barrie Airshow Committee for delivering an exciting airshow. He called upon the Chair of the 2024 Barrie Airshow Committee, Honorary Colonel of CFSATE Wayne Hay to say a few words about the event.
Honorary Colonel Hay advised that the Barrie Airshow is a culmination of the efforts of several partners including Canadian Forces Base Borden, the County of Simcoe and the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, First Responders, Downtown BIA, Tourism Barrie, and corporate sponsors. He stated that an event of this scale typically requires a minimum of nine months of planning and preparation, but that this Committee was able to execute the 2024 Barrie Airshow in eleven short weeks
