Dr. Travis Doucette, Chairperson of the Barrie Historical Archive provided a presentation regarding the Barrie Historical Archive Project.
Dr. Doucette discussed slides concerning the following topics:
· A potential partnership with the Heritage Barrie Committee;
· The Vision Statement;
· The Mission Statement;
· Photographs of historical buildings;
· Background information regarding the development of the Barrie Historical Archive;
· An overview of achievement highlights including:
o Documents scanned and archived to date;
o The development of a strong social media presence;
o The official launch;
· An overview of the leadership structure;
· An overview of the partnerships with the City of Barrie, institutions, historical associations, private businesses and local media;
· An overview of the 2016 annual budget; and
· The objectives for June 2016.

S. Lewis provided an update regarding his experience at the 2016 Ontario Heritage Conference held in Stratford, Ontario.
Mr. Lewis discussed the workshops he attended which included: Changes Needed for Heritage Preservation - A Politician’s Perspective, Re-Use and Revitalization of Former Railway Buildings and Heritage Conservation Districts - Protecting Ontario’s Post War Heritage.
