15-A-097 2  Presentation - AC/RCRECOGNITION OF LIFEGUARDS FOR THEIR ACTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH SAVING A LIFE AT CENTENNIAL BEACH. Mayor Lehman called upon Adam Lukaszek, Renee Bourgeois and Samuel Owen to join him at the podium to be recognized for of their lifesaving efforts at Centennial Beach on July 2, 2015. He noted that lifeguards Jennifer McKee and Kayla Van Schubert, also involved in the rescue, were unable to attend the City Council meeting. Mayor Lehman discussed the details of a drowning incident at Centennial Beach on July 2, 2015 and highlighted the individual efforts of Adam, Renee, Samuel, Jennifer and Kayla that contributed to saving the individual’s life. He indicated that the individual had no vital signs when rescued but had been revived prior to paramedics arriving due to the well-executed lifesaving efforts of the Rescue Team. Mayor Lehman commented that the Paramedic, Fire and Police Service responders on the scene commended the Lifeguards for their level of training and quick response.
