14-A-133 2  Presentation - AC/RCPRESENTATION TO THE BARRIE FIRE COMBAT TEAM IN RECOGNITION OF THE TORONTO HONDA INDY EVENT - JULY 2014. J. Lynn, Fire Chief advised that the Barrie Fire Combat Team, comprised of Max Laframboise, Cam McLeod, Brian Klassen and Jason Barker, won gold at the Fire Combat Challenge at the Toronto Honda Indy Event held in July 2014, making them the top Team in Ontario. The members of the team in attendance were introduced. Mr. Laframboise and Mr. Klassen provided details of the event, including information regarding the individual and team challenges. They expressed their excitement about the Combat Team Challenges, noting that the event is worthwhile and rewarding. Mr. Laframboise noted that the Combat Team is preparing for the World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona. On behalf of the members of Council, Mayor Lehman congratulated and presented certificates to the Barrie Fire Combat Team in recognition of their achievements.Received  Action details Not available
