Title: CITY UPDATES Jeff Sharp, Supervisor of Traffic Operations provided an update that all temporary speed cushions were installed in Ward 1. He indicated that staff were working with an engineering group on the permanent traffic calming measures on Codrington Street. Mr. Sharp mentioned that speed boards were put in place, and the one at Codrington Street has reported average speeds of 42 to 52 kilometres per hour. Mr. Sharp further noted that staff are investigating an all-way stop on Indian Arrow Road and Penetang Street and currently collecting data. He mentioned that the residents within the area were surveyed to get their views on the potential for the installation of an all-way. Ms. Clark explained the Barrie Fire's Door-to-Door Fire Safety Campaign which was put on hold. She indicated it is anticipated that by September through to the end of October, fire crews will be out, with a goal of reaching 10,000 houses, to make sure fire alarms are working and provide information.
