RECOGNITION OF THE BARRIE MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION BANTAM AA TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2016 ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIP
 
Mayor Lehman called upon Joey Rampton, Coach of the Bantam AA Hockey Team to join him at podium to recognize the team for winning the 2016 Ontario Hockey Federation Championship.  He asked Mr. Rampton to provide an overview of his Team’s season.
 
Mr. Rampton, thanked members of Council for recognizing the Team.  He discussed the achievements of the Team over the past 4 years and the accomplishment of winning the 2016 Ontario Hockey Federation Championship. In closing, Mr. Rampton commented on his two most memorable games with the Team.  
 
Mayor Lehman recognized the Team members and presented certificates to the Team members who were in attendance.  The Bantam AA Hockey Team was comprised of the following individuals:

On behalf of City Council, Mayor Lehman recognized the efforts of the parents of the hockey players and congratulated the members of the Atom AE2, Minor Bantam AA, Minor Bantam AE2, Minor Midget AA Hockey and the Bantam AA Teams.  He noted the incredible number of championships winning hockey teams that had represented the City of Barrie and stated that they have made the City very proud.
