Title: BARRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY - GET A LIFE HUMAN LIBRARY FESTIVAL Elizabeth Bufton and Chantale Boileau from the Barrie Public Library provided an Open Delegation to City Council regarding the upcoming Get a Life Human Library Festival. They explained that the second annual Get a Life Human Library Festival is an event taking place in various libraries throughout Simcoe County in October 2012. The aim of the festival is to create a sense of connection, encourage understanding, celebrate differences and promote tolerance within the community. They noted that one of the features of thefestival was the opportunity to check out a “human book” and learn more about that person’s life and experiences
