2024 COMMUNITIES IN BLOOM PROGRAM
Mona Boyd, Horticulture Foreperson provided an update on the 2024 Communities in Bloom Program, including judges’ visit between July 23, 2024, to July 25, 2024, itinerary and plans. She announced that the 2024 Communities in Bloom judges are Alain Cappelle of Nieuwpoort, Belgium and Dr. Andrea Bocsi of Dunaújváros, Fejér, Hungary.
Ms. Boyd noted that most of the arrangements have been finalized, including the events planned. She is still finalizing the routes throughout the community and the City’s profile book for the judges. She explained the various venues and opportunities for the Committee members to participate. Ms. Boyd advised that she would follow up with Committee members concerning the finalized judges itinerary and events.
Councillor, AM. Kungl indicated that she would ask the City’s Executive Management Team to invite their departments to participate in the Communities in Bloom events.
Members of the Communities in Bloom Committee asked a number of questions of Ms. Boyd and received responses.
