Title: YOUTH AMBASSADORS/GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES PROGRAM Dawn McAlpine, General Manager of Community and Corporate Services provided comments on youth programming, and the risks and liabilities to the City. The Committee provided their feedback to Ms. McAlpine and received responses. The Committee discussed the background of the youth ambassador program, changes to the Committee's mandate, and potential options and new opportunities for the program. Shannon Scully-Pratt provided a summary of the costs associated with hosting a youth delegation from Murayama, Japan. She advised that representatives in Murayama, Japan are eager to start organizing the 2025 programming for the Barrie youth delegation. Ms. Pratt suggested setting up a meeting between representatives in Murayama, Japan and Barrie to discuss the youth ambassador program. Jamie Babcock provided an update concerning the Global Perspectives Program and the 28 students participating in the program at Innisdale Secondary School.
