Title: DEPUTATION REGARDING MOTION 16-G-082, SAM CANCILLA PARK GAZEBO REHABILITATION (WARD 2). Ms. Kelly Lester provided a deputation in opposition to motion 16-G-082, Sam Cancilla Park Gazebo Rehabilitation. Ms. Lester reiterated discussions by General Committee concerning the types of rehabilitation that should be considered for Sam Cancilla Park and the gazebo. She noted that she is aware that the park will receive a makeover in the next five years and provided suggestions for the $25,000 that would not be used as part of the proposed option, such as extending the asphalt path in the park to the road, or having Georgian College students paint a mural on one of the walls. Ms. Lester advised that she has seen young families use the swing sets. Ms. Lester also suggested if the park is re-graded consideration be given to a tiny stage/plateau to be used for cultural and children's events. In closing, Ms. Lester thanked Council for the opportunity to be heard.
