APPLICATION FOR REZONING - CITY OF BARRIE - PART LOT 20, CONCESSION 3, SURREY DRIVE - (May 2, 2005) (File: D14-1381)

 

Ms. C. McLaren, Intermediate Development Planner, Planning Services Department, advised that the purpose of the public meeting is to review an application for rezoning submitted by City of Barrie for lands located on the east side of Livingstone Street East, south side of Surrey Drive, north of Lion’s Gate Boulevard. The property is legally described as Part of Lot 20, Concession 3, and has a total area of approximately 0.2ha.

 

Ms. C. McLaren advised that the lands are considered to be designated Residential Area within the City’s Official Plan and are currently zoned Agricultural A in accordance with Zoning By-law 85-95.

 

 

Ms. C. McLaren advised that the City of Barrie has applied to amend the current zoning of the property from Agricultural A to One-Family Detached Dwelling Third Density R3 to permit the future development of three (3) residential lots that would have a minimum frontage of 12m and lot area of 400 square metres. The proposed zoning is consistent with the proposed zoning to the east which is Residential R3 (see 1.2 above).
