RECOGNITION OF THE SPECIAL OLYMPIANS OF THE 2014 SPECIAL OLYMPIC CANADA SUMMER GAMES
Mayor Lehman called upon the Special Olympians who participated in the 2014 Special Olympic Canada Summer Games. The athletes were identified as follows:

On behalf of City Council, Mayor Lehman presented the athletes and the coaches with "Barrie Home of Champions" Baseball Caps. Mayor Lehman extended his congratulations to the athletes and the coaches.
Ms. Hellaina Rothenburg, Coach provided comments on behalf of the Special Olympians and noted that the athletes are provided with quality training and a healthy active lifestyle to represent the City of Barrie. She commented that the support of the City of Barrie is what makes Barrie successful.
