PRESENTATION REGARDING THE COUNTY OF SIMCOE’S 2020 BUDGET REQUEST
Trevor Wilcox, General Manager of Corporate Performance from the County of Simcoe introduced Greg Bishop General Manager of Social and Community Services, Jane Sinclair, General Manager of Health and Emergency Services and Lealand Sibbick, Treasurer of the County of Simcoe who were in attendance of the meeting and provided a presentation concerning the 2020 County of Simcoe Budget request.
Mr. Wilcox discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• A chart illustrating the operating and capital budget changes between 2017 to 2020 for services provided by the County of Simcoe to the City of Barrie;
• A summary of the 2020 Capital Budget;
• The Social and Community Services 2020 Budget impacts;
• The Health and Emergency Services 2020 Budget impacts; and
• A summary of the overall 2020 Budget impacts.
Mr. Bishop discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview of the Social and Community Services;
• The highlights of the Social and Community Services 2020 Operating Budget; and
• The highlights of the Social and Community Services 2020 Capital Budget.
Ms. Sinclair discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview of Long Term Care, Senior Services and Paramedic Services provided by the County of Simcoe;
• The impacts on 911 call volume for patients who received paramedic referral services;
• The highlights of the Health and Emergency Services 2020 Operating Budget; and
• The highlights of the Health and Emergency Services 2020 Capital Budget.
Members of Council asked a number of questions of the presenters and received responses.
