Title: SENIORS HOUSING R. Cotton provided a draft presentation regarding Seniors Housing in the City of Barrie and Surrounding Areas. Mr. Cotton noted that he would like to provide a presentation to Members of Council at a future meeting to provide an update on the Seniors Advisory Committee activities. Mr. Cotton discussed slides concerning the following topics: * The estimated and projected needs for Seniors Housing in the City of Barrie and surrounding areas; * An explanation for the increases in requiring more Seniors Housing; * The current choices for Seniors Housing: * Social Housing administered by the County of Simcoe; * An overview of Seniors Social Housing; and * The opportunities for an Age-Friendly Community. Members of the Committee asked several questions related to the information provided and received responses from Mr. Cotton.
