Title: PRESENTATION ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CONCERNING THEIR SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY. Ms. Cathy Banting, Branch Manager of the Barrie Simcoe-Muskoka Branch of St. John's Ambulance provided a slide presentation concerning the St. John Ambulance services in the community. Ms. Banting discussed the following topics during her slide presentation: * the history of the St. John Ambulance organization; * the mission statement; * the history and scope of St. John Ambulance in Canada including the number of volunteers, types of services provided and significance of the order of St. John of Jerusalem as one of the 6 orders of Canada; * Barrie Simcoe Muskoka Branch of St. John Ambulance; * St. John Ambulance funding sources; * each of the services and units provided by St. John Ambulance including the Youth t, Medical First Response, Therapy Dog, Car seat Inspections, Disaster Response, Search and Rescue and Community Training as well as the required training and specific services; * th...

Ms. Cathy Banting, Branch Manager of the Barrie Simcoe-Muskoka Branch of St. John's Ambulance provided a slide presentation concerning the St. John Ambulance services in the community.  Ms. Banting discussed the following topics during her slide presentation:
 
·      the history of the St. John Ambulance organization;
·      the mission statement;
·      the history and scope of St. John Ambulance in Canada including the number of volunteers, types of services provided and significance of the order of St. John of Jerusalem as one of the 6 orders of Canada;
·      Barrie Simcoe Muskoka Branch of St. John Ambulance;
·      St. John Ambulance funding sources;
 
 
 
·      each of the services and units provided by St. John Ambulance including the Youth t, Medical First Response, Therapy Dog, Car seat Inspections, Disaster Response, Search and Rescue and Community Training as well as the required training and specific services;
·      the total number of volunteers providing the equivalent of 1,024 days of volunteer service; and
·      2015 events that will increase demand for St. John Ambulance services.
 
In closing, Ms. Banting commented on the need for additional volunteers and support of fundraising initiatives in order to meet the growing demands for the Barrie Simcoe Muskoka St. John's Ambulance Unit.
 
Ms. Banting presented Mayor Lehman with a certificate of appreciation on behalf the St. John's Ambulance Barrie Simcoe-Muskoka Branch.
 
Members of Council asked several questions regarding the information presented and received responses.
