Mr. Darren P. Vella, Principal of Innovative Planning Solutions advised that the purpose of the public meeting is to review an application for rezoning submitted by Innovative Planning Solutions on behalf of 819365 Ontario Ltd. (Patricia Eleanor Webster) for lands located on the south side of Surrey Drive, east of Livingstone Street East in the Little Lake Planning Area. The property is legally described as Part of Lot 20, Concession 3, and has a total area of approximately 0.5ha.

Mr. D. Vella stated that the lands are considered to be designated Residential Area within the City's Official Plan and are currently zoned Agricultural A in accordance with Zoning By-law 85-95. Mr. D. Vella indicated that the owner has applied to amend the current zoning of the property from Agricultural A to One-Family Detached Dwelling Third Density R3 to permit the future development of nine (9) single detached residential dwelling units.

Mr. D. Vella commented that in conjunction with the above noted rezoning application, the City of Barrie is proposing to rezone the property to the immediate west fronting on Livingstone Street East from Agricultural A to One-Family Detached Dwelling Third Density R3. This property is owned by James Greaves, has a total area of 0.2ha. And can be described legally as Part of Lot 20, Concession 3. The intent of this rezoning initiative by the City of Barrie is to complete the zoning for the last vacant parcel of land within the immediate area in order to allow for the orderly development of this property for low density residential in conformity with the surrounding residential properties and in conjunction with the above noted application.
