WELCOME TO THE GERMAN STUDENT DELEGATION.
Mr. Dave Morrison, Chair of the International Relations Committee provided the history of the Global Perspectives Student Exchange program in Barrie and discussed past and future initiatives and visits of the group. He advised that the student exchange participants and delegation leaders from Zweibrucken Germany were in the audience.
Mr. Michael Behnke, a teacher at the Helmholst Gymnasium, spoke on behalf of the German delegation. He discussed the success and value of the exchange program and thanked City Council for their support of the program. Herr Behnke presented a gift to Mayor Lehman on behalf of the Town Council of Zweibrucken.
Mayor Lehman highlighted the success of the program and thanked the members of the International Relations Committee and the families of the students for their participation in the program.
