REVIEW OF PEDESTRIAN/VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AT SCHOOL SITES

That representatives of the school boards be requested to meet with City staff and the Transportation and Economic Development Committee to review opportunities to address pedestrian/vehicular traffic interaction and the associated safety and traffic concerns related to the lack of bus/kiss and ride locations on school board property for students being dropped off for school. That the Direct Motion regarding the Review of Pedestrian/Vehicular Traffic at School Sites be amended by adding:
"2. That staff work with the School Board to encourage walking/active transportation to Schools through initiatives including but not limited to:
a) Awareness and promotion;
b) Interesting projects delivered through schools; and
c) Consultation with the Active Transportation Working Group."
