Title: INVESTIGATION - PUBLIC TREE BY-LAW The Community Services Committee met and discussed the investigation of a public tree by-law. Mr. B. Kahle, Director of Engineering provided an overview of the memorandum distributed to City Council on May 13, 2013. Mr. D. Friary, Director of Roads, Parks and Fleet provided images of trees throughout the City to explain the current challenges with trees planted near public lands and to demonstrate the means utilized to determine whether a tree is defined as a "public tree". The Committee Members and Councillors in attendance asked several questions related to public and private trees and received responses from City staff.
