Councillor Aylwin discussed the possibility of a local improvement energy efficiency retrofits program at the City of Barrie. He advised that other municipalities such as the City of Vaughan and the GTA have similar programs. The Committee discussed the benefits to the community and the City if such a program was developed.
The Committee agreed that further information from City staff and other municipalities would be beneficial to the possibility of the City developing a pilot program. Councillor Aylwin advised that he would reach out to the City of Vaughan and report back to the Committee at a later date. | | |

Councillor Morales provided an update concerning the usage of the charging stations in the downtown area and the parking spaces for the charging stations.
Councillor Morales discussed information on Bill 123, Reserved Parking for Electric Vehicle Charging Act, 2019 and he noted that the Transit and Parking Strategy Department will be presenting a Parking Strategy to the Finance and Corporate Services Committee that will capture Bill 123 in the Strategy. | | |
