M. Banfield, Director of Development Services and M. Gallagher, Zoning Officer provided an update regarding the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments to permit second suites in the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area. Ms. Banfield discussed the timelines and communications plan associated with the proposed changes.
The Committee reviewed the Second Suites Declaration and Implementation Plan and they provided feedback to City staff. Ms. Banfield noted that she will provide a status update to the Committee at a future meeting.

K. Bradley, Manager of Parks and Forestry provided an update regarding the Maitland Park Cricket Field. He advised that due to the size of Maitland Park it is considered too small for a standard sized Cricket Field. Mr. Bradley discussed the City’s Outdoor Recreation Facility Study that included a recommendation for Cricket Field to be built in the south end of Barrie in the near future.
