The Committee discussed the preparations for 2020 Heritage Week events that included a proclamation and a presentation to City Council on February 10, 2020.
The Committee reviewed a draft of the Heritage Week presentation and they provided feedback to C. Froese and S. MacKinnon associated to the presentation.
C. Colebatch advised that the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) loaned a set of Heritage Christmas Ornaments to be used for display purposes at Heritage events.
S. Zubyck advised on behalf of the BIA that they are willing to provide assistance to promote Heritage events.
The Committee advised that a Heritage Week Open House is being held on February 18, 2020 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., located in the Rotunda, City Hall as part of Heritage Week. The Committee noted that Tours of City Hall will be available to the public during Heritage Week.
C. Froese advised that a table has been booked at the Barrie Farmer’s Marker on February 15, 2020 to promote Heritage Week. | Received | |
