TMP-24659 2  Item of DiscussionUPDATE REGARDING THE CONNECTED CORE PILOT PROGRAM S. Docherty, Connected Core Program Coordinator provided an update regarding the Connected Core Pilot Program. Ms. Docherty noted that the Connected Core Pilot Program is a collaboration between stakeholders and community partners who support those individuals at risk. Ms. Docherty commented that Connected Core is working with community partners and Georgian College to create a job bank. Ms. Docherty advised that a chat app entitled “barrie.chalmers.app” will be launched soon that can assist in getting individuals connected to the appropriate resource or organization.Received  Action details Not available
TMP-24648 2  Item of DiscussionCOMMUNITY SAFETY AND WELLBEING WEBPAGE AND COMMUNITY CONSULTATION INITIATIVES W. Cooke, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services provided an update regarding the Community Consultation Initiatives undertaken for the Community Safety Well-Being Plan. Ms. Cooke advised that she has received an interest from staff at Georgian College who are interested in using the Community Safety Well Being survey as part of their curriculum for their Research Analyst Program. Ms. Cooke noted that she will be meeting with staff at Georgian College and will provide a further update to the Committee. R. Lay, Community Engagement Advisor previewed the Community Safety Wellbeing Webpage. The Committee discussed the survey and content of the Community Safety Webpage and provided their feedback to Mr. Lay.Received  Action details Not available
TMP-24649 2  Item of DiscussionREVIEW OF BARRIE POLICE SERVICE SURVEY FINDINGS The Committee met and discussed Barrie Police Service Survey three most important Community Safety and Well Being Priorities. W. Cooke, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services commented that both Collaborate Barrie and Barrie Police Service have the same top three findings as it relates to Community Safety Well Being including as addictions/substance abuse, mental health and crime prevention. She suggested using these categories as a starting point for the Community Safety Wellbeing Plan. The Committee discussed and members will forward comments from their agencies relevant to the top three categories of addictions/substance abuse, mental health and crime prevention to Ms. Cooke.Received  Action details Not available
