a) SPORTSTAR CAPITAL INC.
Marty Starkman of Sportstar Capital Inc. provided an overview about his company, Sportstar Capital Inc., and details associated with an opportunity for the City to partner with Sportstar Inc. to build a Sports Complex on municipal or private property that could include a variety of indoor sports fields.
Mr. Starkman provided photographs illustrating past projects Sportstar Capital Inc. had been in partnership.
Members of Committee asked a number of questions to the presenter and City staff and received responses.
b) BARRIE TROJAN SWIM CLUB
John Eley and Kelly McCrae from the Barrie Trojan Swim Club provided a presentation concerning a proposal for an Aquatic Facility containing a 50 metre pool at the proposed Hewitts Recreation Centre.
Mr. Eley and Ms. McCrae discussed slides concerning the following topics:
· The history of the Barrie Trojan Swim Club (BTSC);
· Photographs of swimmers from the BTCS;
· The BTSC vision, mission and values;
