| 1 | | | Presentation - AC/RC | UPDATE REGARDING THE ACCESSIBILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE’S PARTICIPATION IN CELEBRATE BARRIE
The Committee discussed the merits of setting up an accessibility booth at the Celebrate Barrie event on June 1, 2019 at Centennial Park. The Committee decided that participation by the Accessibility Advisory Committee at Celebrate Barrie 2019 would not be optimal at this point in time.
The Committee agreed that more planning would be required, especially in the designing of accessibility-related interactive activities for adults and children, if it was to consider participating at future Celebrate Barrie events.
C. Dillon, Accessibility Coordinator advised that she will contact staff in the Creative Economy Department to determine if there are upcoming City events that may be more suitable for the Accessibility Advisory Committee to take part in. The Committee will discuss its participation at future City community events at a future meeting. | | |
