Mr. Sachkiw advised that Dave Morrison will be recognized with the 2019 Autumn Imperial Decorations, The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays award from Government of Japan at the City Council meeting scheduled for January 13, 2020. Mr. Sachkiw advised the Consular General of Japan from Toronto, Takako Ito will be in attendance at the City Council meeting on January 13,. 2020 for the award presentation and that there will be a reception to follow the ceremony. Babcock provided an update regarding the Global Perspectives Program. Mr. Babcock advised that the application process will begin soon for those students interested in participating in the 2020 Global Perspectives Program and that the deadline for applications will be end of February, 2020. Murayama, Japan D. Morrison, Chair provided an update regarding the Youth Ambassadors Program. Mr. Morrison advised that advertising for the youth ambassadors program will begin in early 2020.and that the deadline for applications will be end of March, 2020.
