Councillor D. Shipley advised that the purpose of the meeting was to conduct an appeal hearing related to the denial of a Community Improvement Plan grant request. Councillor Shipley confirmed with W. Cooke, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services that notice of the hearing was provided to the appellant. He indicated that the hearing would be conducted as a quasi-judicial hearing and is a continuation of the hearing from September 17, 2018. Councillor Shipley requested that the presentation of evidence be restricted to new information only and not items presented at the last hearing.
Councillor Shipley requested that the appellant(s) and/or their representatives to identify themselves. Mr. Mark Kemerer of Devry Smith Frank LLP, identified himself as the Appellant’s Representative.
Councillor D. Shipley requested that the City’s Representative(s) identify himself. Mr. Peter Krysiak, Legal Counsel identified himself as the City’s Representative.
