R. Ward of the Barrie CARP Chapter 36 provided an overview of an interactive directory that they have developed for the wellness industry as a community resource guide. Mr. Ward reviewed the features of CARP’s interactive directory and noted that this directory is also available in a printed format.
The Committee asked questions regarding the information provided and received responses from Mr. Ward.

L. Ricardo provided an update regarding the Prevention of Seniors Abuse Network (PSAN). Ms. Ricardo reviewed new projects that the PSAN is undertaking including the development of a seniors resource guide.
The Committee agreed to invite a member from the PSAN to a future meeting to provide a presentation concerning their initiatives.
H. Stone provided background information concerning the Barrie Senior Services Network (BSSN) and reviewed the support services that they offer.
Ms. Ricardo noted that Friday, June 15, 2018 is “World Elder Abuse Awareness Day”. | | |

Ms. Stone advised that a Seniors Networking Community Fair has been scheduled on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the City Hall Rotunda from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Committee discussed tasks associated with the Seniors Networking Community Fair. | | |
