18-A-003 2  Presentation - AC/RCPRESENTATION REGARDING THE BARRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD’S PROPOSED 2018 OPERATING GRANT Mr. Ray Duhamel, Chair of the Barrie Public Library Board provided a presentation concerning the Barrie Public Library Board’s Proposed 2018 Operating Grant. Mr. Duhamel introduced Mr. Marc Saunders, CEO of the Barrie Public Library and members of the Barrie Public Library Board of the Barrie Public Library who were present. Mr. Duhamel discussed slides concerning the following topics: · Highlights of the Barrie Public Library’s 2018 budget request; · The value of the library services provided, the successes of the Barrie Public Library and the challenges that are being experienced; · A graph illustrating the circulation per active cardholder in comparison to other Ontario municipalities; · A graph illustrating the total number of incidents at the Barrie Public Library between 2014 to 2017; · A summary of expenditures and revenues for 2017 and 2018; · An overview of the 2018 municipal operating grant request. Chief Greenwood provided a presentation concerning the Barrie Police Service 2018 Operating and Capital Budget request.
