The Committee discussed the possibility of implementing a Native Plant Salvage Program. This Program would include salvaging plants from the natural heritage systems of undeveloped areas in the City and re-locating plants to private and City properties.
G. Poisson reviewed the process that would need to be followed to implement such a Program and that discussions concerning the timing would need to be had between staff and developers to ensure a coordinated approach.
Councillor McCann noted he may bring forward an Item for Discussion at a future General Committee meeting concerning this matter. | | |
