He advised that during their stay they will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Friendship agreement between the two cities. The Committee met and discussed the status of the Youth Ambassadors visits as follows:
Zweibrucken, Germany
D. Morrison provided an update regarding the Global Perspectives Program. Mr. Morrison commented that a youth delegation from Zweibrucken, Germany visited the City of Barrie in September/October, 2017.
Mr. Morrison commented that the Butcher Shoppe did an amazing job catering the goodbye party for the youth delegation on October 10, 2017.
Murayama, Japan
D. Morrison provided an update regarding Murayama, Japan. Mr. Morrison commented that it is anticipated that a delegation from the City of Barrie will be traveling to Murayama, Japan for two weeks in August, 2018. D. Morrison discussed that he was reviewing a possible application process for a call for future youth ambassador leaders. The Committee provided their feedback to Mr. Morrison. | Received | |

B. Sergeant provided an update regarding the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire United Kingdom.
B. Sergeant and D. Morrison commented that in 2018, the International Relations Committee will welcome two delegations from North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He advised that one of the delegations will be on the return leg of last year's very successful adult exchange, and that other will be an effort to create a new Youth Ambassadors exchange. These two groups will be hosted simultaneously which will provide some organizational convenience to the delegation. R. Warman commented that the Sir Robert Barrie Project Committee presented reproductions of the Sir Robert Barrie painting to three high schools in Barrie.
