TMP-21761 1  Presentation - AC/RCGENERAL UPDATES J. Sharp, Supervisor of Traffic Operations and Community Safety of the Roads, Parks and Fleet Department stated that two school crossing flashing beacons will be installed on Blake Street this week. Sergeant J. Brooks of the BarrIe Police Service provided an update regarding student issues in Ward One. Sergeant Brooks noted that all students at the Varsity Student Residence have been advised that carrying open alcohol is prohibited on the exterior grounds of student residences and that signage has been posted. J. Hanson of the Barrie East End Homeowners Association expressed her concerns regarding parking in the Georgian College vicinity. R. Calvano, Director of Campus Safety and Security at Georgian College provided an update on matters relating to: · The relocation of faculty picket lines to College property were effective to minimize traffic disruption during this Fall’s strike; · An update on the College’s Design and Digital Arts Centre in Downtown Barrie; and · An overview of domestic and international student enrollment at the College.
