UPDATE REGARDING STUDENT HOUSING
The Committee discussed student housing in the Georgian College area.
M. Gallagher, Zoning Officer provided an update concerning the licensing requirements related to Boarding, Lodging and Rooming Houses in the Georgian College Area.
The Committee discussed challenges related to student housing such as absentee landlords, overcrowding in houses, and landlords not taking responsibility and educating their tenants on the City By-laws and policies.
