T. Reeve, Senior Infrastructure Planning Program Coordinator of the Engineering Department provided a presentation regarding the Multi-Modal Active Transportation Master Plan.

 

T. Reeve discussed slides concerning the following topics:

 

                     An overview of the Infrastructure Master Plans;

                     An illustration identifying the areas where the Infrastructure Master Plans will be utilized;

                     A map illustrating the population growth projections for 2041;

                     A chart illustrating the current modal split and the 2041 targets for active transportation and transit;

                     A chart and map illustrating the City’s existing and additional cycling infrastructure;

                     A map illustrating the areas that are short term and medium term priority road projects;

                     The highlights for Active Transportation including Off-Road Trails, In-Boulevard Pathways, Cycle Tracks, Buffered Bike Lanes, Bike Lanes, Paved Shoulders, Signed Routes and Sidewalks;

                     The transit services, principles and additional measures recommended by the study; and

                     A map illustrating roads in the secondary plan growth areas, ROW protections, road diets and the HOV lanes.

 

Members of the Committee asked a number of questions to City staff and received responses.
