Title: DISCUSSION REGARDING SECOND SUITES IN THE GEORGIAN NEIGHBOURHOOD STUDY BOUNDARY AREA Councillor C. Riepma, Chair provided an overview regarding the City's current restriction of second suites within the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area in Ward One. Councillor Riepma advised that Staff Report PLN011-19 dated April 15, 2019 from the Planning and Building Services Department recommended that a Public Meeting be scheduled to consider amendments to the City's Official Plan and Zoning By-law to remove the restriction of second suites in the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area. Bourrie, Director of Planning and Building Services provided additional information regarding health and safety issues with some illegal second suites in the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area. Riepma, Chair provided an overview regarding the City’s current restriction of second suites within the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area in Ward One.  Councillor Riepma advised that Staff Report PLN011-19 dated April 15, 2019 from the Planning and Building Services Department recommended that a Public Meeting be scheduled to consider amendments to the City’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law to remove the restriction of second suites in the Georgian Neighbourhood Study Boundary Area.

Members of the Committee asked a number of questions related to the information provided and received responses from City staff.
