DISCUSSION REGARDING THE TOWN AND GOWN COMMITTEE’S 2019 DRAFT WORK PLAN
The Committee Members suggested that the following items be considered for inclusion in the Town and Gown Committee’s Work Plan:
• Increase participation in the Town and Gown Association of Ontario’s events and conferences;
• Review the challenges and achievements of Town and Gown Committees in other municipalities;
• Develop a communication plan to strengthen relationships between the City, Georgian College students and residents in Ward One;
• Encourage more Georgian College students to attend Town and Gown Committee meetings to obtain their input on issues;
• Propose that the composition section of Town and Gown Committee’s Terms of Reference be amended to include additional student representation from Georgian College; and
• Improve the integration of Georgian College students within the community.
