Title: PRESENTATION - ORIENTATION FOR COMMITTEES J. Carswell, Deputy City Clerk provided a presentation regarding an Orientation for the 2018 - 2022 Committee Members. Mr. Carswell discussed the following topics: * The Council and Committee Member Code of Conduct; * The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act; * The City of Barrie Procedural By-law; * An overview of meeting procedures: o The basics of Parliamentary Law; and o The role of the Chair, Committee Members and the Committee Support Clerk; * The decision making process; and * The reporting structure of the Heritage Barrie Committee. In closing, T. Wierzba, Planner provided an overview of the Heritage Barrie Committee's Terms of Reference. Mr. Wierzba noted that the Terms of Reference have been amended as a result of the Heritage Barrie Committee's merger with the Historic Neighbourhood Strategy Committee. J. Carswell, Deputy City Clerk provided a presentation regarding an Orientation for the 2018 - 2022 Committee Members.

 

Mr. Carswell discussed the following topics:

 

                     The Council and Committee Member Code of Conduct;

                     The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act;

                     The City of Barrie Procedural By-law;

                     An overview of meeting procedures:
