OPEN DELEGATION BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF ONTARIO MUSICIANS CO-OPERATIVE INC. (OMCI) REGARDING A POSSIBLE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY’S EMERGING ARTIST’S PROGRAM
A representative of the Ontario Musicians Co-operative Inc. provided an Open Delegation regarding the possibility of partnering with the City’s Emerging Artist’s Program.
The representative discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview of the Ontario Musicians Co-operative Inc.;
• A chart identifying the Canadian Summer Jobs Grant Funding for Barrie and surrounding areas;
• The logistics associated with the emerging artist partnership proposal;
• The rationale associated with establishing a partnership between the OMCI and the City’s 2018 Emerging Artist’s Program;
• The responsibilities of the OMCI and the City of Barrie associated with the proposed partnership; and
• How the proposed partnership is in alignment and supports the objectives of the approved emerging artist program.
Members of the Committee asked a number of questions related to the information provided and received responses from the representative and City staff.
