J. Sharp, Supervisor of Traffic Operations and Community Safety provided an update from the Roads, Parks and Fleet Department on matters relating to:

 

                     The enforcement of the parking prohibition on Dunsmore Lane;

                     The installation of a school crossing flashing beacon at Blake Street and Huron Street; and

                     The relocation of community safety zone signage on Adam Street.

 

C. Riepma of the Barrie East End Homeowners Association (BEEHA) listed topics that will be discussed at the BEEHA General Meeting to be held on October 25, 2017.

R. Osborne, Supervisor of By-law Services and J. Forgrave, Supervisor of By-law Services provided updates from the Enforcement Services Branch of the Legislative and Court Services Department on matters related to:

 

                     The status of the Staff Report regarding the Property Standards and Yard Maintenance By-law;

                     Complaints regarding tree cutting, garbage and debris on residential property;

                     Revisions to the Election and Sign By-laws; and

                     The recruitment of contracted staff to enforce parking restrictions during the winter months.

 

T. Zubyck, Security Operations Manager at Georgian College provided an update regarding student enrollment and parking at the College.
