Title: PRESENTATION BY THE DAVID BUSBY CENTRE CONCERNING AN UPDATE ON THE DAVID BUSBY CENTRE Sara Peddle, Executive Director of the David Busby Centre provided an update concerning the David Busby Centre and the opening of 88 Mulcaster Street. Ms. Peddle discussed slides concerning the following topics: * An overview on the David Busby Centre and the coordinated response to homelessness in the community; * A timeline of the David Busby Centre from February 3, 2014 to September 2019; * An overview of the Campaign to raise funds in Barrie and surrounding area communities; * An update on the City's grant to the Centre; * The average monthly costs associated to housing people that are homeless; and * A summary of the HUB, a coordinated access point to housing options and support for individuals and families. Members of Council asked a number of questions to the presenter and received responses. Mayor Lehman thanked Ms. Peddle for her work every day to support the community.
