Title: SENIORS HOMESHARING DISCUSSION Cheryl Dillon, Accessibility and Diversity Specialist provided an overview to the Committee concerning a potential pilot project for a seniors' homeshare program between seniors and university and/or college students in the City. Ms. Dillon explained the successful Toronto homeshare program wherein the City of Toronto in partnership with the University of Toronto matches older adults (aged 55 and over) wishing to share a spare room in their home with university and/or college students seeking affordable housing in Toronto. The Committee agreed to invite Mayor Lehman to a future meeting to provide a presentation concerning a seniors' homesharing project for the City.
