Mr. McConnell advised that higher volume of cyclists were using the separated cycling lanes as it provided cyclists with a safer environment as they are not competing with motorists on the road. The Committee discussed the benefits of a Transportation Demand Management Coordinator to assist the City in implementation of the Transportation Master Plan and to meet the targets the City set for active transportation infrastructure.
