Title: COMMENTS FROM OUTGOING STUDENT MAYOR(S): Jack Honka of Hyde Park Public School provided comments on his term as Student Mayor. He thanked Council for being so welcoming during his term and shared how he has learned a lot about what is required for the City to run smoothly. Jack also advised that he has gathered 70 signatures in support of a Splash Pad in the south end of Barrie. Ryan Khosrovaneh of Eastview Secondary School thanked Council for the opportunity to be Student Mayor. He commented that he found it inspiring that Council had demonstrated such bold leadership on the issues before the City, such as the Opioid Crisis. Ryan shared that he learned a lot about municipal government and that by working cooperatively together, it is possible to make changes to make the community a better place to live.
