PRESENTATION CONCERNING THE DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN
Tom Reeve, Senior Infrastructure Planning Program Coordinator provided a presentation concerning an overview on the Drainage Master Plan.
T. Reeve discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview of the Infrastructure Master Plans;
• An illustration identifying the areas where the Infrastructure Master Plans will be utilized;
• The rationale associated with the requirement for a Drainage Master Plan;
• A flow chart summarizing the five phases of the Municipal Class EA Planning and Design Process;
• The definitions of Lot Level and Linear Low Impact Developments (LID) including the benefits and limitations;
• Information associated with conveyance improvements associated to channels, culverts and storm sewers;
• Information associated with existing and new stormwater ponds;
• Opportunities to implement bio-retention facilities and infiltration galleries within existing and new parks and stormwater ponds;
• A map indicating 200 drainage project locations within the City;
• The key findings of the Drainage Master Plan Review; and
• The next steps of the Drainage Master Plan project and after the completion of the Drainage Master Plan.
Members of the Committee asked a number of questions to City staff and received responses.
