Title: RECOGNITION OF THE 2017 SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS KETTLE CAMPAIGN Major Doug Lewis of the Salvation Army, Barrie Bayside Mission thanked members of City Council for the opportunity to address Council concerning the Christmas Kettle Campaign and discuss the services that the Salvation Army provides. Major Lewis thanked the residents of the City of Barrie for their generosity and he extended his appreciation to those who volunteer at the various programs offered by the Salvation Army. He provided details of the Kettle Campaign and he advised that there are 23 kettles throughout the City of Barrie. He highlighted the funds raised in 2016, and those to date in 2017. Major Lewis advised that the projected fundraising goal is $505,000 for the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
